- Thank you for asking. Actually, there are more details on Final Writer 5
- regarding its new features that I could give; but I think it is best to
- await official announcement of versions until they are close to actual
- release.
-
- I suppose you could say that since I have mentioned a few features that we
- are getting close. Who knows, perhaps we will ship FW5 before you ship
- WW5. If you live up to your usual 6 month lead time between announcement
- and release, we will. Weren't you supposed to ship in January? Unless I
- missed something, it is February. I am surprised you found it necessary
- to announce WW5 in November and still have not actually released it. What
- was the purpose of doing that?
-
- As far as when FW5 will be released, it will be released once we have
- completely tested it and ensured there are no crash and burns. We don't
- charge for tech support, and I prefer not tying up our phone lines with
- unhappy users. I assure you that once we announce FW5 we will live up to
- our announcement.
-
- Catch up with Wordworth 5? No thanks. Aren't you getting things a little
- mixed up? Isn't WW5 now just adding ARexx, paragraph styles, and
- background printing? FW has had ARexx, paragraph styles, and background
- printing from day one. No, we are not attempting to "catch up" to
- WW5--sorry.
-
- I am still waiting to purchase my copy of Wordworth 5. How soon can I get
- it? Of course I still remember your comment last year that WW5 would
- leave FW5 for dead. I keep that in the back of my mind every morning at
- 5:00 AM when I look for motivation to drag myself out of bed, go to work,
- and prepare FW5. Thank you for the extra incentive! Perhaps I will list
- "Mark from Digita" in a special "Thank You" section in our manual.
-
- Mark, I am looking forward to installing WW5. I am even more excited
- about running it. I just hope it doesn't trash my hard drive like WW3.0
- did during its installation.
